Fujifilm USA Adds Two New Cameras to the FinePix Family: The F20 and S6000fd

Fujifilm USA has announced two new FinePix cameras—the F20 and S6000fd. Keeping with the FinePix tradition of providing the sharpest pictures possible, both cameras will feature Real Photo Technology which optimizes sensitivity, especially in low light, for better images.

The 6.0 MegaPixel FinePix S6000fd comes with an exciting new component of Real Photo Technology: Face Detection Technology. This feature detects up to ten human faces in a scene, regardless of their positions, and prioritizes the faces. The camera then adjusts exposure and focus automatically to optimize the final image, creating "people pictures" that are sharp, clear and natural-looking. The FinePix S6000fd also comes with Fujifilm's i-Flash system which adjusts flash strength based on specific scene conditions, and an ISO equivalency up to 3200 at full resolution. Ultimately, it all adds up to more beautiful pictures with finer detail.

The FinePix F20 is the sister camera to the critically acclaimed FinePix F30 and shares many of its features. Housed in its compact frame are a 6.3 MegaPixel Super CCD Sensor, a bright 2.5-inch LCD, and a Picture Stabilization option which sets ISO sensitivities as high as 2000 for images with less blur.

The FinePix F20 and FinePix S6000fd will be available in August and September, respectively, at retail prices of $299 for the FinePix F20 and $499 for the FinePix S6000fd.
